As part of our Continuous Improvement initiative, Vekta has recently made a number of improvements to our system with the aim of increasing productivity on our saws.  In one test site, productivity during truss component cutting was able to be increased by a whopping 20%!

How did we do it?  Mainly by reducing some delays, improvements in the stack optimising system, the reduction of stoppages and minimising the time it takes to recover from stoppages. What’s even more exciting is that the work uncovered a few more key areas that we think can be improved upon – so stay tuned, more productivity improvements are on the way!
